| :Anyone know where I can get a helmet for autcross/ track day events? Is the new standard SNELL 2005 or 2000? The new Snell standard will be 2005, some places are taking pre-orders for them, Pegasus Racing ([ www.pegasusautoracing.com ]) is for sure... also check out [ www.racerwholesale.com ] AND [ www.helmetcity.com. ] Most are/will be offering some discounts on SA2000 helmets, and depending on the club, will be good until 2010 or later. If you plan on doing more than half a dozen events a year, or a dozen or more autocrosses a year, you really should be replacing your helmet every five years anyway. -Stacy King
